Biscoff Blondies and the square pan dilemma.

Square baking pan.

Does everyone have one of those but ME?

I mean I never had one and I never understand why I need one. UNTIL I have to bake a brownie then I have this conversation with myself at length. Then I settle for my 9 inch pie pan or cake pan.

Brownie comes out fine.

I forget all about my dilemma and move on with my life.

Fast forward to another day when I feel like making brownies, smores bar or any type of bar-ish treat then its BACK to the Square pan dilemma.  Why don’t I have a freaking square pan anywhere in this damn kitchen!

I guess I should invest in one, I mean they are not pricey or hard to find. I just have never had one and have coped. So I will cope until I drive myself crazy with these conversations about square pans, who knows maybe THEN I will get one!

Adios Mio! No freaking square pan!!!

Saw this amazing recipe on Picky Palate.

Still no square pan in sight but I decided to go for it anyway in my 9 inch cake pan.

Who made this biscoff stuff ?? Its good … soooo good… love love love this stuff!!!

Eat it on some toast, mix in some cookies, eat by the spoonfuls .. possibilities are endless … I mean ENDLESS!

So before you proceed … scoop some and consume … do it! DO IT!

Ok then lets see where were we….

Mix dry Ingredients …. look at the biscoff…. mmmmm biscoffffffffffffff.

 

Melt butter…. mmmm biscooffffffffff.

Add white chocolate chips …. mmmmmmmmmmm chocolate chips.

Mmmmmm…

 

Let it sit a minute.

Smooth it out … add eggs.

Then add to dry ingredients….

 

Mix it up.

 

Add remaining chips then biscoff…. mmmmmmm biscoooffff.

Done… grab a spoon.. turn on the telley .. and wolf it down.

OMG this looks and smells soooo gooood.

Well that is what you would do if you were me .. but since you are not .. and probably have 10000% more self control than I do.

Get your prepared SQUARE pan …

Or if you are a rebel …

Like me… get your round, pie/cake pan

OK fine I will buy one… soon .. very soon… geez … I dont like those judging eyes…

These blondies .. are amazing .. they taste GRRRRREAT, smell great… the cinnamon in the biscoff and the penzeys are just wonderful and they just make your entire house smell like goodness.

They are chewy, delicious, done!

Biscoff White Chocolate Blondies – adapted from Picky Palate

Ingredients ~

  • 1 cup AP Flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup biscoff spread

Prep Instructions~

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Foil or grease a “square” 8 inch pan, set aside.
  • Mix all dry ingredients; flour, salt, cinnamon, sugar, baking powder.
  • Add 1/2 cup white chips to dry mix and set aside.
  • Melt butter for 30 – 45 secs in the microwave till its nice and hot.
  • Mix in 3/4 cup of white chocolate and let it melt. Stir till smooth.
  • Add to dry ingredients and mix.
  • Mix in eggs.
  • Mix in biscoff.
  • Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, I will keep an eye on it  after 25 mins because it goes from perfect to too hard in 2 mins.
